Privacy Policy
Effective date: March 26, 2026
1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy applies to the ALIM Method™ website, operated by James Stark, based in Bali, Indonesia. It explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it. If you have questions, see Section 9.
2. What We Collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Contact information — your name and email address when you submit an assessment, apply for a programme, or sign up for communications.
- Assessment responses — your answers to the ALIM Method™ Self-Assessment, used to generate your results and personalise recommendations.
- Application information — details you provide when applying for the Intensive or Certification programmes.
- Usage data — basic analytics such as pages visited and time on site, collected via standard web analytics tools. This data is aggregated and does not identify you individually.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the information you provide to:
- Deliver your assessment results and any personalised insights
- Process programme applications and registrations
- Send relevant communications about programmes, teachings, and updates — only where you have opted in
- Improve the website and the quality of the work we offer
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Where applicable, we process your personal data on the basis of your consent (which you may withdraw at any time), for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps at your request, or in pursuit of our legitimate interests in operating and improving this service — where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
5. Who We Share Data With
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it only with:
- Email service providers — to send you communications you have opted into (e.g. Mailchimp or similar). These providers are bound by data processing agreements.
- Payment processors — when you make a purchase. Payment data is handled directly by the processor (e.g. Stripe) and is not stored on our servers.
- Legal authorities — where required by law.
6. Cookies
This website may use essential cookies required for its operation and, where you have consented, analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site. You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of some features.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Email communications data is retained until you unsubscribe. Application data is retained for the duration of any programme engagement and a reasonable period thereafter.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights including:
- The right to access the personal data we hold about you
- The right to correct inaccurate data
- The right to request deletion of your data
- The right to withdraw consent at any time (including unsubscribing from emails)
- The right to data portability
- The right to object to processing based on legitimate interests
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 9.
